High Road ARRA Implementation

CSI organized a national meeting on the implementation of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act stimulus package. The meeting convened high-level governor’s office staff from CO, DC, DE, IA, IL, MD, MO, NC, ND, NJ, NM, NY, OH, OR, PA, RI, TN, TX, WA and WI; federal government representatives from OMB, HUD, EPA, DOE, the Department of Education and the Executive Office of the President; and non-CSI policy experts from the Brookings Institution, CAP, CNT, Community Catalyst, DQC, eHealth Initiative, EPI, Families USA, Living Cities, NELP, NAF, OMBWatch, Pew, PolicyLink, PPS, Serrafix, SGA, SGLI, U.S. Conference of Mayors and WPFP. The meeting focused on effective, equitable, and sustainable leveraging of federal stimulus money and featured sessions on transportation, energy, housing, tracking and metrics, health, water infrastructure, education, work supports and cross-cutting strategies. CSI agreed to facilitate further events or phone briefings on topics of interest to attending states.
