The Center for State Innovation (CSI) convened two calls for state CFOS to follow up on the Chief Financial Officers Roundtable hosted by CSI in February. The first call offered an update on, and discussion of, federal efforts to reform regulation of the financial sector, introduced CFOs and staff to White House liaison Michael Blake, Deputy Associate Director in the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs and discussed next steps for cooperation. The second call discussed a California proposal to garner federal backing for short-term revenue anticipation bonds issued by states. Representatives from California, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania and Washington participated in the calls.
