Our one-day academy included senior staff and key decision makers at the Louisiana Workforce Commission (LWC), as well as subject matter experts affiliated with the Center for State Innovation (CSI) in a discussion that explored the challenges and opportunities facing the Louisiana Workforce Commission in a number of key areas:
- Incorporation of Louisiana Rehabilitation Services
- Streamlining Unemployment Insurance and connecting claimants with assessment, training, and re-employment services
- Better integration of Community Service Block Grant funded services into the existing workforce system
- Better integration of TANF and Food Stamp work programs
