Teacher Performance in Tenure and Force Reduction - 12/14/11

Presenters provided a brief overview of the current state use and national trends in linking educator evaluation with personnel decisions including tenure and force reduction. They discussed key issues for states planning to undertake this work; important financial considerations; and challenges, lessons learned, and emerging best practices from states that have begun to implement these policies. Colorado shared its experience in developing and beginning implementation of its educator evaluation system.
