Sustainable and Equitable Development - 1/4/12

This webinar highlighted state policy options that are being used to support sustainable and equitable development across the country.  This type of development reduces infrastructure costs, energy use and greenhouse gas emissions by fostering compact development near transit stations, job centers and village and town centers that includes housing affordable to families of all incomes.  The conversation focused on incentive-based land use planning and creative approaches for allocating Low-Income Housing Tax Credits and supporting land acquisition for mixed-income, mixed-use development in location-efficient areas.
