Event Summary

Our one day press event and briefing/policy academy included the Lieutenant Governor, her senior staff and other stakeholders, along with subject matter experts affiliated with the Center for State Innovation (CSI).  The purpose of the meeting was to highlight Lt. Governor Denish’s ideas and to look at challenges and opportunities facing New Mexico in a number of key areas of workforce and education policy, including:

• Increasing college enrollment through dual-credit programs and other initiatives
• Increasing college completion rates, particularly in community colleges
• Preparing New Mexico’s middle-skill workforce
